About Karl A. Meyer

The swiss artist Karl A. Meyer started his career in the Eighties in New York with large scale woodcuts, refering to the ancient mythologies oft the indigenous cultures in the american south west, in particular the Hopi. He stayed 17 years in New York where he shortly joined the East Village movement, an alternative to the established galleries in nearby Soho.

Currently Karl A. Meyer lives in Basel (Switzerland) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) where he is working on new sculptures and paintings.
